The Veranda Announces First Retailer Openings
CONCORD, Calif. (October 23, 2017) - The Veranda, the East Bay's newest destination for next-generation shopping, dining, and entertainment, announced today the opening of its first businesses in October and early November. New openings include T.J.Maxx, LunchboxWax, Sleep Number, AAA, Travis Credit Union, Toys 'R Us and Babies 'R Us.
"It's an exciting time at The Veranda as our first retailers begin to open their doors this month," said Ashton Simmons, general manager of The Veranda at CenterCal Properties, LLC. "The development of this shopping and entertainment complex has been highly anticipated, and we'll be announcing additional openings and events through the end of the year."
The Veranda is a 375,000-square foot mixed-use plaza that will feature retail, entertainment, and dining opportunities. The property is accented by unique architecture, local art, and play space, including Northern California's first-ever Luckey Climber, a climbing structure offering adventure to kids of all ages. Developed by CenterCal Properties, a pioneer in placemaking, The Veranda reimagines the idea of the mall and offers more than retail stores, but a true lifestyle experience with activities for visitors several times per week.

The Veranda has also confirmed new lease signings including Puesto, Residual Sugar Wine Bar, and Coffee Shop.
When complete, The Veranda will also feature the only IMAX auditorium within 25 miles as part of Veranda LUXE Cinema by Cinema West with Dolby Atmos sound. The theater will feature luxury electric seats and recliners, full-service in-theater dining, a full bar and plush lounge. It is scheduled to open to the public in December.
